The Juneteenth Classic

The Breakdown

This tournament was created to bring the community together through competition, culture, and connection while honoring the significance of Juneteenth and the power of unity through sports. More than just a basketball event, the inaugural Juneteenth 3v3 Tournament was designed to create opportunities for youth, families, athletes, local businesses, and community organizations to engage in a positive and empowering environment. Through basketball, mentorship, entertainment, and community involvement, the event aims to inspire the next generation while celebrating freedom, resilience, and progress.

The vision behind Project Success Coalition is rooted in strengthening communities through youth empowerment, leadership development, mentorship, education, and collaborative community initiatives. By partnering with local leaders, families, and organizations, Project Success Coalition works to create opportunities that encourage growth, achievement, and long-term community impact. This tournament reflects that mission by using sports as a platform to promote positive relationships, healthy competition, cultural awareness, and meaningful community engagement that extends far beyond the basketball court.

Our goal is to create an atmosphere that blends high-level competition with a welcoming family-friendly experience where everyone feels connected and involved. Whether attending as a player, parent, spectator, volunteer, sponsor, or community supporter, this event is meant to feel energetic, inclusive, and impactful for all ages. As the inaugural event, we hope to establish a lasting annual tradition that the community can continue to grow around for years to come — a celebration of basketball, culture, unity, and community pride that brings people together every Juneteenth.
