How many players are allowed per team?

Teams may have a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players on their roster.

Can I edit my roster after registering?

Yes. Team captains may update their roster prior to the tournament deadline. However, duplicate players within the same division are not allowed.

What happens if a player or team is late?

A 10-minute grace period will be allowed for late players or teams before a forfeit decision is made. We encourage all participants to arrive early and check schedules regularly through the mobile app.

How do waivers work?

All participants are required to complete a waiver before competing. Waivers are standard protections designed to help ensure the safety and responsibility of all players, participants, organizers, and event partners involved.

Will referees be provided?

Yes. Referees will be provided for tournament games to help maintain fair and organized competition throughout the event.

Are spectators allowed?

Absolutely. Spectators, families, friends, and community supporters are welcome and encouraged to attend and enjoy the event.

Is there a registration fee or refund policy?

There are currently no registration fees for this inaugural event, so no refund process is necessary. However, donations and community support are always welcome and appreciated to help grow future events and community initiatives.

How do I check schedules, announcements, and tournament updates?

All schedules, bracket updates, announcements, court assignments, and event notifications will be available through the official tournament mobile app.

What is the goal of this event?

This inaugural Juneteenth tournament is about more than basketball — it is a celebration of community, culture, empowerment, unity, and positive engagement through sports and community connection.
